In this live session, I discussed 7 cases showing how I did the biopsies and answered questions from the attendees
Case 1: 33-yrs old with backache and an infectious spondylitis at the D7-8 level
Case 2: 54-years old with low backache - old renal cell carcinoma with a new osteolytic lesion in the sacrum
Case 3: 18-years old with fever and CT chest showing enlarged necrotic mediastinal nodes.
Case 4: 74-years old with a right upper lobe lung mass with severe emphysema.
Case 5: 26-years old with backache and an S1 osteolytic lesion
Case 6: 56-years old with treated carcinoma breast and new sub-centimeter sized lung nodules
Case 7: 71-years old with a prevascular space cystic mass, highly suggestive of a cystic thymoma.
The video shows these cases, which were discussed using Osirix. The pattern was as follows.
1. Description of case
2. Pre-test probable diagnosis
3. Planning of the biopsy
4. How it was done
5. Materials used
